Journey to the Synod - Session 2
Together on the Way: Journey to the Synod is the second of three gatherings in preparation for the Global Synod in Rome (October 2023 and 2024). Archbishop Patrick is on the Synod participants representing Australia. This session will focus on the theme of Mission. Sr. Nathalie Becquart Visit to Adelaide
Sr. Nathalie Becquart, XMCJ is the Undersecretary to the General Secretariat of the Synod on Synodality, and the first women ever appoint to the role in the history of the Vatican. Sr. Nathalie is playing a crucial role in the preparation for the 2023-24 Synod. She will share about the Synod, as well as the ways synodality is important to the mission of the Church locally and globally. BBQ dinner at 5:30pm (optional), presentation at 6:30pm.
Diocesan Gathering with Plenary Council Members
Join our diocesan members of the Australian Plenary Council to engage with and provide feedback on the Plenary Council propositions; prepare for the next steps after the Plenary Council; and send our members forth in prayer and blessing.
Pre-Synod Gathering
The Pre-Synod gathering will include an opportunity for people from the Archdiocese to view the pre-synod report from the Archdiocese of Adelaide for the 2023 Synod of Bishop on Synodality.
Diocesan Youth Assembly
The Diocesan Youth Assembly date has been changed due to COVID considerations. The new date coincides with the local celebration of World Youth Day. For more information go to www.cathyouthadelaide.org.au.
Diocesan Assembly Closing Session
The closing session of the 2021 Adelaide Diocesan Assembly will take place at the historic Capri Theatre in Goodwood. The closing session will also be live streamed for public viewing.

Local Consultations
The pre-assembly consultation period will take place in June, July and August, closing on 16 August. Individuals and groups are invited to respond to the consultations questions. For more information visit the Respond page.
